This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom is a busy place filled with excitement. As teachers, we exhaust our personal resources in our homes and our wallets for our children to have the best of the best. With a classroom printer, we would be able to give them so much more in terms of both quality and quantity.
Our students are part of a second grade ICT classroom where they are lucky enough to have two teachers all the time.
They come from a very high-needs area in New York City and often come in with the bare minimum. Having more resources would help encourage our students to love coming in to school every single day knowing more materials and resources await them!
My Project
Our students will be able to print from our three classroom computers as well as enjoy the activities we can print for them. We would be able to send home activities and materials for them that would create both excitement and joy in them every day. They are so appreciative for every little thing we can do for them and this would just be the icing on the cake!
Our project will make a difference in the lives of children who have very little to start.
It would show them that people in and outside of their community care about their education when so often they feel the opposite.
