My students need a classroom that is organized and filled with the required materials they need. The 10 drawer cart will help the students by supplying them with all the supplies stored inside for their use.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Go Big RED! That's our chant for our school cheerleading team. As a team, we value unity, teamwork and leadership and we make that a priority. We begin summer practice by stretching, running, reviewing cheers and stunting.
I have the opportunity to work with 15 beautiful, educated and talented young ladies this summer.
Many of them come from different backgrounds and demographics. Some students are paying their cheer dues with their hard earned working money. Some even miss practice to baby sit to make the means to pay for their fees. Some are fortunate to have parents who are able to pay for all their fees.
This summer we are working hard to perfect our cheers, team bonding and working habits. As a team, we want to lead by example.
My Project
In a classroom, students needs to have supplies accessible to them. i don't like when students are asking others or even leaving the classroom to be prepared for class. When a classroom is prepared for the students, we have LESS distractions and more content learning going on.
As a 13 + year educator, I've come across many students not having the required supplies for class.
I would like to provide them with all the necessary materials they need for the school year. Students may feel uncomfortable when they don't have what is required but when you offer it to them, they are more acceptable to you.
Having a 10 drawer cart in the classroom that will store pens, pencils, calculators, staples and all the necessary supplies for the students will make teaching easier for me as a math teacher. Students need to be comfortable and at ease in every classroom. I don't want students to ever worry about not having something for class.
