My Students
I teach English Language Arts to the most amazing group of sixth graders. I have three rotations with a total of 71 students. Each day we laugh and grow together. They are creative and kind and so very funny. They make teaching fun!
My Project
I teach English Language Arts and my students love to have free time to read. Many of them have expressed interest in novels that I do not currently have in my classroom. I have been writing down titles of novels that students have asked to read, especially when a book they want is already checked out from the school library, and put it on my Donors Choose list.
Novel self selection is important for students when it comes to reading.
Having a variety of novels helps students to find a book within their reading level that meets their interests.
