Engagement is key to student involvement in their own education. The last several years I have incorporated a Blended teaching model into my classroom. My students have been given the opportunity to learn information at their own pace, and it has been so inspiring to watch!
Our school is the "hub" of our community, with most social gatherings occurring during a school activity, whether it be sports, plays, or school concerts.
My students are hardworking both in school and out. Our students are involved in every sport, every school organization, and every community activity, so they have an incredible work ethic.
As a Language Arts teacher, I try to share my love of reading with my students. Each class period has a block devoted to reading for pure enjoyment. I sit and talk about the novels with my students and ask them guided questions, but they aren't expected to take a test or write a paper on them.
Through independent reading, my students are able to explore novels they enjoy, and funding this project will assist in offering my students a wide variety of titles.
I have done extensive research to find high-interest, high-quality titles for the different levels and interests of my students and love placing these titles into their hands. With your donation, I am able to continue placing enjoyable, engaging novels in my classroom library.
