Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My first graders are all bilingual students learning in Spanish and English. By donating you are contributing to developing my students' organizational skills and self responsibility. The seat sacks would allow my students to have all of their materials nearby, decreasing transition time between subjects and increasing instruction time. The seat sacks will help my students transition into subjects much more smoothly giving me more instruction time.
Currently, we are cultivating a love for reading which doesn't just mean sitting at their desks and reading.
The cushions will allow students to find cozy spots throughout the classroom while they enjoy reading. I plan on showing my students that reading is not a punishment but rather something to be enjoyed.
