My Students
My second graders are bright, enthusiastic learners. We start each day with a smile and get right to work. We are lucky to have a district and principal who value technology and see the importance and benefits of using it at school.
As in any classroom, my students display a wide range of abilities.
I want to keep them engaged at their individual levels, but it can be difficult, especially for my advanced students. With the right technology, I can push them to go beyond the regular assignments and increase their knowledge and critical thinking skills.
I am taking classes for my technology endorsement, and I am learning a variety of ways to integrate what I've learned into my daily lessons. I have seen that when I include technology in my lessons, my students’ engagement level increases tremendously.
My Project
My classroom needs a variety of items. We recently got headphones for our classroom, but there aren't enough for all my students. We need three more sets so that nobody is left out.
My students love having a variety of seating during small group time.
The wiggle seats will be a valued addition to our classroom, and I will rotate them through my students so that everyone can use them.
We love math and science in our classroom. I have chosen activities and manipulative that will keep my students engaged. The giant math manipulatives will be fun, because everyone can see them on the white board. My students will love growing crystals as part of our rock unit!
