Classroom Necessity and Literacy Improvement Plan

Help me give my students floor cushions, a set of storage bins, and a reading/spelling game set so they can have storage for their selection of book to promote reading as well as promote spelling.

My Project

I serve a Title I school where there is a large need of classroom room basic supplies in my classroom. For example, we really need some good quality whiteboards. I laminated cardstock papers for my students as their whiteboards but they didn't really work very well. The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using the workshop model in math, students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. They also work at their desks with the whiteboards so that we can do more TPR activities as well as check for understanding. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. Another necessity are the large book organizer bins. I want to create a classroom library for my students so that they can learn to enjoy reading and improve their literacy. This requires organizer bins to ensure they learn how to get book that are a good fit for them. Other supplies including crayons, glues, markers, construction paper, and other classroom basics are also in need in my classroom. Your help could really make a difference for my students!
