Help me give my students things for the classroom that will help support their progress and maximize their learning. In our classroom, a multi-sensory approach is extremely important for all students and a projector would allow for this.

My Students
The students within my classroom are 2nd and 3rd graders that live in and around the Boston area. Our school consists of general education classrooms, inclusion classrooms, and sub-separate classrooms. The students in my classroom are all within a separate classroom and all of my students are all diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and come from low income housing. The students in my classroom are always full of energy and love to play with technology and learn through technology. All of these students have specific needs and continue to need visuals, manipulatives, and other academic supports. Our school district has limit resources and our classroom is looking to update our visuals, our technology, and our materials to meet each of our child's specific needs.
My Project
The use of a projector is an extremely important part in an autism classroom. We use a projector for academic learning, sensory movement breaks, and exercise. The children in my classroom are highly motivated by technology and their learning is hugely impacted by motivation. Having a projector in the classroom will help allow the students to learn at an optimal level. My students enjoy movement breaks and allows them to focus better when given academic tasks. Also, organization is an important aspect of a classroom for children with autism. Book bins will help organize and label books of all kinds. White boards and pocket covers allow the students to work on skills multiple times for mastery. Currently, we use sheet protectors and these can destroy easily. Pocket covers will allow more students to work on specific skills. Also throughout our classroom, students use computers for reading, math, and fine motor skills. When multiple kids are using computers at once, the loud environment can be overstimulating for many of my students. Headphones would allow the students to be more focused on their work at hand and the other students to concentrate on their work in quieter environment. All of these materials will help create a better environment for my students to work in.
