This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our little army is of 36 boys and girls! Each student brings their own personality and sense of humor to our mini mixing pot, we call our classroom.
In our first grade class we strive to fill each school day with fun and interactive learning!
Most students are raised in low-income households; therefore I strive to provide school supplies for every student in my class. This school year, with such a high number of students, it has been challenging to do so. Please help me continue to provide a positive schooling experience for these children.
My Project
Each school year I strive to be creating in brainstorming what school materials can be budget-friendly and durable for the school year. These materials need to be easy for our 6 to 7 year old students to use and access daily. We keep it simple with folders and notebooks! Despite these materials seeming simple and cheap, some of our families within our community still struggle to purchase materials for their children. Please consider helping us provide these select materials to our students free of cost, and free of stress for their parents and guardians. Any little bit helps! We appreciate you.
