My students need math practice activities, dry erase supplies to complete the activities, bins to keep the activities organized and a pencil sharpener for every day use.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
EOGs are right around the corner, and my students have been working incredibly hard all year. I am ready to challenge my students and give them all the practice and review they can get, so when they get to the test, they feel confident they will ace it!
My students are very sweet, hardworking and motivated to succeed.
They are getting ready for middle school, but they know to get there, they need to work hard. In my classroom I also have several newcomers who know little, to no English. My school is a title 1 school, where 100% of our students receive free lunch. A big struggle we face is funding for resources that we need. My students work so hard every day, and they deserve the best, no matter what obstacles face us. I want to see them succeed no matter their level, and together we are doing just that!
My Project
Students will use these materials to help them practice for the End of Grade test. They have been working hard each day to learn new skills, but they continue to be motivated to be challenged and to practice. My students are determined to get the highest grades they can on the EOG, but to do that they need to practice and challenge themselves. Students will use the math activities during math workshop to practice their skills and challenge themselves to prepare for the EOG. Dry erase marker supplies will be used in small groups so I can pull small groups to review skills, enrich students and practice, practice, practice with students every day. The storage organizer will be used to store the math activities so it is easy for students to access and use every day.
This is going to make my classroom better because it will provide my students with the rigor they need to prepare for the EOG.
It will help me to save time preparing work for them, and to use that time to pull small groups to give better one on one instruction. Having it organized and easily accessible will allow students to have access to the materials every day. Students will be practicing their math skills that we have learned all year, and it will help them to build confidence for their EOG!
