This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We teach in an Inclusive Classroom setting (40% of our students have special education needs) in a Title 1 school (90% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch).
The materials we hope to get from this project will help us to create a classroom community that encourages students to take ownership of their own learning and empowers them to utilize the tools that best match their needs along their learning journey.
The makers' space and classroom mailbox will help our students to have free access to materials and agency to make choices about what they need to best support their learning.
The maps and math manipulatives will help our students with their visual and kinesthetic needs.
