Classroom Makeover: More Productivity But Still Flexible
Help me give my students new desks and chairs because transitioning from only teaching peer counseling, to a mix of peer counseling and English students will need a different type of seating arrangement.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Currently, my classroom is filled with couches and lap pads for students to work. The couches have been great for teaching only Peer Counseling classes. However, these seats are not fully effective for teaching freshmen English students. Freshmen English students need a little more structure so they can be more productive/effective in building better study habits while adjusting to new life in high school. Students find the classroom to be safe and welcoming, which is still a goal. I would like these tables and chairs so that they can easily be arranged to work with cooperative study groups while also allowing for more disciplined, individual work as well.
