This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

50 students, 50 papers...you do the math! Passing out papers and notes can become a huge disaster without an organized method!

My students attend a Title 1 school and are bundles of energy who have the potential to change the world!

They are destine to become senators, scientists, parents, professional soccer players, and teachers. I love to watch the list change as they discover new adventures to pursue!

My Project

I want to offer my students personal mailboxes in the classroom they can use to store their warm up books. I will also place graded papers and important take home notes in their boxes so they can easily access them every day. Mailboxes would reduce the time spent passing out papers, eliminate privacy violations of materials and grades, and provide a solution to cluttered crates around the room.

This project is huge for our classroom because it is purely for the students.

It provides them with an example of an organized method that they can tailor to use for the rest of their life. It will also teach them ownership of their personal possessions because the only one responsible for their mailbox will be them. These are two important steps they need to master to be successful in middle school and high school.
