Help me give my students a classroom library. My cart contains a book set of Bad Guy to Percy Jackson, but the best is a set of 11 books called Who Was? informational text of famous people.
My students are high-trauma, low-income kids that I adore. They faced so many challenges every day, and all they want to do is come to school. Providing a classroom library allows them to escape from the real world and dive into all kinds of stories and adventures.
My students love to read for information and fantasy.
My goal is to use literature to help inspire student to gain knowledge and dream about ways to provide a better life for them and their community.
Most of my students don't have books at home. I have created a checkout system so they can take the book home to share with their family or to continue to read in their free time.
