Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in a gifted / advanced class and I need to add titles to our classroom library. These requested books will help my students to connect literature to real-world cultural perspectives meaningfully through reading these rich texts by acclaimed authors.
My goal is to help my students explore diverse cultures through engaging, meaningful reading experiences.
My students have daily times for reading and this will help give them fresh reading material that they can connect with through the content or through the characters.
Also, reading will encourage empathy through stories from various world cultures.
