This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am hoping to continue to build my classroom library! As a class, we do independent reading everyday at the start of class. This is a time for my students to read whatever they want. The more options they have readily available to them, the more likely they are to read. As an English teacher, I am trying to foster and grow life long readers, and this starts now for many of my students. The more you read, the more you learn and understand. I want to encourage curiosity and growth so that they have the foundation to learn and want to continue reading outside of high school and for pleasure.
