This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A classroom library is advantageous because students individually or in small groups are able to use every moment in class for learning, without leaving the classroom. My classroom library books have been bought to meet the needs of newcomers learning English and how to read. Being in a middle school, we do not have the beginning readers leveled books that are designed for primary grades, such as KG-3rd grade. My collection of books needs to be organized in my room for easy access and without being embarrassed in the library. I will be able to create my own coding for the difficulty level of the book and sort book into class subjects and character development, such as science, history, cultures, character building, and art. This organization will be easy for students to use, and create a pride in having a personal section within the classroom that supports their emotional growth and academic learning.
