My Project

Have you ever found reading to be boring, until finding a book that matches your interests? As a teacher, we push for students to work really hard in bettering their reading skills by reading books aloud, in whole group, small group, with partners, and independently. Though, we find students wanting to do enrichment with reading, but the classroom library is not updated. Especially in my class, my library is made of books that were donated to me and some of them are books that I read in 5th grade myself.

Help me update my library with new books that were match my students' interests, so that they can better their reading skills and enjoy reading.

The goal is to get different genres of books to help freshen up my library in the classroom. This will allow students to study many different reading genres (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, history, biographies, etc.). This project will help support the growth of reading skills in all students in the classroom. They deserve books they will find interesting!
