My Project
I am trying to get my students more engaged and interested in reading. I work with various academic levels and social skills as a special education cluster teacher. On top of that, I am a first-year teacher and was left with no books in my room for students to pick up and interact with. By having a diverse library for my classroom, I hope this will intrigue and draw students into reading and away from their devices. Many of them are interested in reading, but most of the books I had access to brought in were much higher than their current reading level.
