This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

By providing my students with books they find interesting, engaging, and relatable, their passion for reading will begin to grow. This will help them become more curious, improve their vocabulary and be excited about learning. Readers become leaders!

These books will be going to the classroom library which students can access any time of day.

They will be encouraged to pick a book such as the Be You Books and those from the My Weird School Collection to read during their free time.

The more books they find interesting the more their desire to read as this is the most crucial time in their lives as learners.
