Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are very energetic and a ball of fun. They love interactive and hands-on learning activities. Students in my room always ask questions and look for answers - they know "no question is a dumb question", and a "closed mouth doesn't get answers."

They are a very caring group of students.

They like to help and push each other to do their best. My students come to class ready to learn and want to improve their reading and math skills.

My Project

I am a Special Education Teacher and I service students in grades Knd - 5th. Having a classroom library my students will be able to read books on their reading level to help improve their reading level and feel successful. Many of my students are reading 2 to 3 grades below grade level. I want my students to enjoy reading by reading books on their reading level. I have to meet students where they are and get them to where they need to be. I want my students to enjoy reading and improve their reading level. Reading is so fundamental.
