My students need many books/reading materias in order to broaden their vocabulary and exercise their imagination. They also need to practice reading comprehension and implement different reading strategies which these materials will help with.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember walking into your favorite classroom as a kid? Was it filled with books or was it bare? My students love a class that is filled with books that can help them exercise their wild imaginations. Many of my students do not have access to books at home and rely on the books in our school's library and in our classroom library to be able to read. These kids are avid like learners and eager to continue expanding their vocabulary through reading different materials.
My Project
As a new teacher, I really do not have much in the likes of reading materials because they can get very pricey. These books (including Night, Because of Dixie, and more) will help build my classroom library and will help my students be able to have different books to choose from whenever they would like and whenever they have to do an assignment on a book they want to read. My students all come from diverse backgrounds but most come from low income families and do not have access to books or extra materials at home. The classroom library would give students an extra outlet aside from the library to choose books from.
