This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Many of my students do not have access to a public library and only read in school. I hope to help my students develop a love of reading by providing them with a library in school.

My school is located in an urban area where supplies are limited.

We do not have a library in our school. Many of my students do not have use of a public library in their neighborhoods. For many of them, school is the only place where they have the opportunity to read.

My Project

Please help me encourage my students to read. By supplying this library to my classroom you are not only helping to promote literacy, you are providing students a place to read for enjoyment, develop vocabulary, become fluent readers. This library will do wonders for my students.

This library will help me teach my students that reading is important.

The students in my classroom will have access to every book that you supply them. Please help my students develop a love for reading!
