Our classroom is a second home to 30 students ages 10-12. We are a diverse group of learners with 8 of us receiving special services.
We all have a growth mindset and know our class mantra well, "We don't have to be right, but we have to try our best." We work hard each day to grow, reach our personal goals, and keep a positive attitude.
Students are in our classroom for most of the school day receiving instruction in reading, writing, social studies, and math.
My Project
A parent recently gifted our class a new set of shelves for our classroom library. We would love to replace the broken bins that store our books by genre. When we can quickly locate a book in these colorful bins, we can spend more of our time actually reading.
We also would love some new titles to read.
By January, most of us have read all the graphic novels in the library. Having some new additions will keep us motivated to read during the second half of the school year. We will probably need a raffle to see who gets to read the new titles first!
