My Project

As a 5th grade ELA teacher, I am always on the hunt for new and exciting books to add to my classroom library! My students love reading and I love being able to recommend books that they will fall in love with. For this project, I've requested some new graphic novels, and some new chapter books and series. We'll use some of them as class read alouds (our favorite part of the day) and some will live in my classroom library!

As places around the country are banning and challenging books, I want to make it clear to my students through my classroom library that our school community supports their identities and interests.

I want every student to feel seen, and to have access to other worlds and identities. Thank you so much for your support.
