Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a very low income area, teaching special education students in a Title I school. I work in an ICT classroom that does not have enough classroom materials especially during this time where we are blended teaching.
My students need an organized library in order to maintain cohesive and consistent learning.
These students appreciate all that is given to them. All they want to do is learn. I can't wait to see their faces light up once they see their beautiful and organized classroom library.
My Project
With education changing in the world due to Covid-19, our students are looking forward to coming back to school. However, I would like to keep consistency by having a beautiful classroom library for them to utilize at home and in school while learning in a blended environment. My students come from a very low income area with limited resources. They would appreciate knowing that they will be able to easily navigate through a welcoming classroom library in which will have many books on their independent reading level. My students and I truly appreciate everything and are looking forward to having a fantastic, but different, new school year!
