This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Both fiction and nonfiction books offer unique and important benefits to readers. Reading fictional stories allows readers to step into the shoes of different characters, fostering emotional understanding and perspective-taking. Nonfiction can provide role models and inspire readers to pursue their own interests and goals. Students are more likely to participate actively in discussions and share their ideas when they're working in smaller, more intimate groups. This encourages a deeper understanding of the material and allows students to feel more comfortable expressing their thoughts.

My goal for this project is to have a variety of books readily available to all of my students to promote reading for enjoyment and exposing them to a variety of genres.
