My Project
I am Ms. Newman, a behavior interventionist teacher at Casteel Jr High, and I am working to expand our classroom library to better reflect the diverse world we live in and the experiences of all our students.
I am reaching out to ask for your support in building a library filled with books such as Crabtree Books Achieving Social Change, Lee & Low TEEN Mental Health Bundle, Junior High, Crush, Girl Called Echo, and My Bilingual Summer that promote diverse representation, social-emotional learning, and social awareness.
Stories have the power to spark empathy, encourage self-discovery, and help students see themselves and others in a new light. A well-rounded library can inspire meaningful conversations and support the development of kind, thoughtful, and inclusive young minds.
