This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is intended to support my students learning through arts integrated lessons and curriculum planning. My students take music classes and have learned the basic structure of music. I would like to use this background to support their learning in mathematics and Spanish literary arts.
For example, we study ratios in sixth grades.
The ratio of four 16th notes to one quarter note is 4:1. We also have studies the song "Guantanamera." I would love to be able to play the piano for students to sing along with. Additionally, any students interested in learning the piano will have it available for indoor recess.
