My Project

My students not only learn reading, writing, math, science and social studies with me, but they need to learn life skills like responsibility and being a classroom citizen and applying for, and working classroom jobs. These skills help them prepare for the world beyond the classroom.

When students learn how to apply and work a classroom job, they have a better understanding of what it takes to work towards goals and help society.

With the classroom job charts their jobs will be posted each month and then reapplied for the following month. The standing desks will be used for the class secretaries, a job in which they not only have to apply for, but within the application they have to provide evidence of hard work to earn that position. All of the materials will have multiple purposes in my classroom, but will help teach my students financial literacy and responsibility.
