This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These snacks will be part of the classroom incentives used in Algebra 2 classrooms. Students earn tickets for doing good deeds, completing extra learning activities, helping other students, and participating in class. Students spend these tickets on various incentives. Some of the most popular incentives that students choose to spend their tickets on are chips and candy!
This incentive system was very successful last year, but we ran into some roadblocks with keeping enough chips in supply, and purchasing them quickly when we ran out.
Not only did this system give our students extra motivation to do their best in class, but it also helped to foster a strong sense of community in our classroom.
These students are Algebra 2 students that have chosen to focus their high school course studies on either the engineering field or the healthcare field. Some of these students are in Honors Algebra 2. All of these students are hardworking and deserve to be rewarded for doing their best.
