Because of your incredible generosity, our classroom has received snacks, STEM kits, flexible seating, an iPad, and new math supplies. We are beyond grateful for your support and the difference it is already making for our students.\r\n\r\nThe snacks you provided are more important than you may realize. Many of our students struggle to stay focused throughout the day, and having access to quick, easy snacks helps them maintain their energy and attention. When students are not distracted by hunger, they are better able to participate, complete their work, and regulate their emotions. This simple support creates a more positive and productive learning environment for everyone.\r\n\r\nThe STEM kits have brought excitement and hands-on learning into our classroom. Our students benefit greatly from interactive activities that allow them to explore, build, and problem-solve. These kits give them opportunities to practice critical thinking, teamwork, and perseverance in a fun and engaging way. Watching their confidence grow as they experiment and discover new concepts has been truly rewarding.\r\n\r\nFlexible seating has already transformed the feel of our classroom. Some of our students need movement or alternative seating options to help them focus and stay regulated. Having choices like wobble seats or soft seating allows students to take ownership of their learning environment. When students are comfortable, they are more engaged, less distracted, and more willing to participate in lessons and discussions.\r\n\r\nThe iPad is an especially meaningful addition to our classroom. Technology provides access, communication, and learning opportunities that would otherwise be difficult for some of our students. Whether it is being used for educational apps, skill practice, communication support, or interactive lessons, the iPad opens doors for individualized instruction. It helps us meet students where they are and provide support tailored to their needs.\r\n\r\nThe new math supplies are already being put to great use. Many of our students need hands-on materials to fully understand math concepts. Manipulatives and visual tools help make abstract ideas concrete. With these new resources, we can provide more engaging math instruction and help students build confidence in their abilities.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has directly impacted our students' daily experiences at school. You have helped create a classroom environment that is supportive, engaging, and responsive to student needs. Most importantly, you have shown our students that there are people who care about their education and believe in their potential.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for investing in our classroom. Your kindness and support truly make a difference, and we are so grateful for your commitment to helping our students succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1768784165335,"projectUrl":"project/essentials-that-empower-learners/9993724/","projectTitle":"Essentials That Empower Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bauer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8563268"},{"teacherId":8389109,"projectId":9737928,"letterContent":"I wanted to thank you so much for the lab supplies for my students. This created a rough start to the year and made it hard to engage students. With your help, I was able to purchase some classroom STEM kits that focus on different physics scenarios. These kits were chosen to help give students hands-on opportunities to build and design scenarios to test what we discuss in class. This created a chance for students to independently explore ideas in a fun, engaging way that was low-pressure for success. \r\n\r\nTo make using the kits more beneficial for students, I made some guided worksheets that they could choose to use to help explore concepts such as kinetic energy, Forces, Momentum, and Kinematics, to name a few. While not all students chose to use the supporting documents, the kits themselves helped to spark conversations of improvement to designs, changes to gain certain outcomes etc. \r\n\r\nAs students continue to engage with the kits, the goal is to integrate them into the lessons so that students can more visually see what is being discussed outside of lab scenarios. Labs are often helpful to show real-world scenarios, but students seem to forget that the real world still includes building and playing with learning kits and 'toys' for a lack of a better word. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and generosity. While these may seem like simple tools, they have made an incredible impact on the way my students are able to engage with their learning every day.\r\n\r\nIn a high school classroom where technology is used constantly for research, writing, presentations, and collaborative projects, having reliable access to power is essential. Before your donation, students were often scrambling to find an outlet or trying to manage classwork on low-battery devices. Now, thanks to you, every student can confidently participate without the stress of a dying battery or limited workspace.\r\n\r\nWhat's most exciting to my students is how much smoother and more efficient their learning environment has become.
