This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This summer my middle school students will be involved in a STEAM project based learning program where I will combine principles of science, math, engineering, and music to create fun cross-curricular lessons. Integral to these lessons are supplies to build a classroom glass harp and water glasses! Students will add water to their glass to create a specific pitch and build their instruments based on the science of acoustics, and then we will learn foundations of music to perform.
My middle schoolers love working with their hands and this project will give them the opportunity to make music with their own creations!
