This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students provide inspiration to me each and every day. Despite the situation they wake up to in the morning, they come to school with their future in mind. They are responsible, goal oriented and have an endless amount of potential.
Regardless of their origin, circumstances, or what society has said, they are determined to live out every one of their dreams.
They are living, breathing, proof of resilience. They are committed to redefining what it means to be a student.
My Project
As students return to the classroom, many of their teachers are in a rush to make up for loss time. This stress is often passed on to our students.
Although quality time in the classroom is very important, students also lost out on interacting and socializing with their peers, taking a toll on their mental health as well.
I would love to be able to provide time and resources for my students to play games and destress when appropriate with their classmates. Strengthening the life long skill of relationship and team building.
