My students need various puzzles, a white board, and cushioned seats to help them use and improve their fine motor skills as well as their exploration skills.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students do not have any puzzles to help them sort and help with their development. It is important for them to have them and have exploration time and give them the opportunity to spike their curiosity.
My students are part of a combo class.
I have 8 kinder students and 16 first graders. I have a mix of levels within each grade level from low to high. They are curious and excited learners who are ready to explore each subject. They are part of a 4 year old school which is need of a lot of learning material.
My Project
The materials needed will help the students explore and entice their curiosity. They will use the puzzles during independent work time. The students will be able to work together to solve and discuss the solutions to the puzzles. They will be able to walk away with exploration and cooperation skills that can be transferred into math and science development.
The donation of this project will help my students be able to use the puzzles as a source of exploration and as a fun activity.
The students in my classroom come from homes that do not own many books and or puzzles. Students will be given the opportunity to use their hands and minds to help solve something and eventually transfer their exploration skills into being explorers in life.
