Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many families in our school community face financial challenges, and not all students are able to begin the school year with the supplies they need. This lack of resources can affect their confidence, participation, and academic success.
I want every student in my classroom to start the year on an equal footing.
By providing essential school supplies—like notebooks, pencils, folders, and crayons—I can help remove a barrier to learning and ensure that each child has the tools they need to thrive.
This simple step fosters a more inclusive and supportive classroom environment, where students can focus on learning rather than what they lack. By equipping my students with the basics, I hope to start their school experience with dignity, encouragement, and the belief that they are valued.
