This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have the most amazing students. They come from varied backgrounds and experiences, but come together with one common goal, and that is to learn.
My goal with this project is to provide my students with classroom essentials and incentives to enhance their learning experience.
Some of the items I am requesting are books for our classroom library. I have students from different cultural backgrounds and want to provide reading materials from a diverse group of authors, including books in Spanish for second language learners. Also providing books and activities with an emphasis on science to supplement our science standards. Being able to provide flexible seating options, such as a floor table with chairs, seat cushions and lap desks can also assist in their learning. Providing rewards like pencils, squishy toys and bracelets to encourage positive behavior is essential and beneficial to everyone.
I would like to print some activities on color copy paper. Glue pens will be used for craft project. Board games will help during classroom recess. The air pump with be used to keep playground balls inflated. A gift card from TPT will be used as need to purchase supplemental classroom materials as needed, for social sciences and diversity.
