Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Classroom essentials are as important as the lessons taught in my classroom. Making sure that I have the necessary resources for my students to fully engage in a math or literacy lesson is much more accessible with whiteboards, the right dry erase markers and erasers that leave no mess behind are small but crucial details along with having a snack available for when students need it to make to lunch time.
Our current whiteboards have been overused and are stained which make it harder for students to write and erase over the stains.
In return students waste focus in a lesson when they have to constantly try to figure out what they wrote and how to erase it properly.
I strongly believe students in my classroom deserve the opportunity to have access to the right classroom essentials and classroom resources to achieve their full academic potential, including but not limited to manipulatives, white boards, markers, erasers and snacks for when students are hungry and need a little pick me up to make it to lunch time.
