Help me give my students class set of whiteboards(48), pencils, and a class sharpener to ensure they are able to be engage in the classroom to their highest potential
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an educator, I have the privilege of teaching a diverse group of students who are full of curiosity and potential. I work in an urban school where some students struggle to obtain essential school supplies such as pencils and sharpeners. To ensure that my students have what they need, I provide these supplies to them. I also strive to meet the unique learning needs of each student by using various teaching modes, one of which is utilizing whiteboards.
Whiteboards are a valuable tool for students as they allow them to reflect on their answers individually, collaborate with peers while solving problems, and enable me to assess their progress in real-time.
Additionally, whiteboards provide students with a creative outlet to express themselves artistically, which I encourage in my classroom.
As a new educator, I am still in the process of building up the resources I can offer my students. With your support, I can take one step closer to ensuring that my students have the necessary tools to grow both as scientists and individuals.
