Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class has 17 amazing students that come to school every day excited and eager to learn. Out of those students, 10 of them are English Language Learners. This is my first year as a teacher and it has been so meaningful and rewarding to have class full of students from different backgrounds. My students are so kind and caring to each other. A lot of them are at different reading, writing, and speaking levels. However, they always want to help eachother to do their best and be successful.
My Project
My materials will make a difference in my students' learning because it will provide them with educational experiences that they can engage in. My students will use the adjustable pocket chart stand to sort words based on features. This will be a literacy station that kids will work on in small group settings. The 10 drawer mobile organizing bin will allow me to organize guided reading books for reading groups and keep them together. I will also add activities to go along with the guided reading books in those drawers. Lastly, I will use the scotch thermal laminator to give students important sheets that will last and that they can use to help their learning.
