Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a socioeconomically challenged neighborhood. In our district, the students receive free breakfast and lunch. These students do not come from the safest most supportive homes.

My students are fourth graders who are experiencing a pivotal point in their lives.

Because education is constantly under attack and our budgets are always being cut, we are barely getting the supplies we need.

I want to empower my students to be the best they can be.

My Project

My students will be learning about science and social studies in my classroom. They will have interactive notebooks which will require lots of organization on my part.

My students will be responsible for lots of cutting, glueing, and labeling as it is key to keep their notebooks organized in order to meet their learning goals.

These resources will enhance my students' learning and make their "notebooking" experience a breeze. Student notebooks will be kept in the classroom, however students will be responsible for retrieving their notebooks each day and returning them to the right spot to be sure they are not lost. Colored organization bins will allow this to happen and will make keeping the interactive notebooks in the classroom easy for myself and my students!
