My students need the tools needed to be successful in their learning path. I’d like my students to have these materials to help them with their schooling.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Some ask is teaching in a lower income area difficult, and to answer that question yes teaching alone is difficult but yet it’s one of the most rewarding jobs.
What I love most about my students is they are truly appreciative of anything provided for them.
Many come from single parent household where purchasing school supplies is impossible. How can we expect children to learn successfully without providing them with the tools they need to stay on top of their learning objectives.
Teachers play an important role of our worlds future. If teachers don’t keep learning interesting and engaging students will not be interested and later may drop out.
Studies show the top reason students don’t make it to high school graduation is because they are not interested.
Now this could caused from many reason, but I feel as a teacher my job is to make learning not only fun but keep my students interested so they want to keep learning!
My Project
My students need these materials to help them through this school year. Third graders are faced with the most academic standards that need to be taught to them than any other grade. Third grade is not only a difficult age (it’s that gap between primary and intermediate schooling) but now that have the most to learn.
How can we expect the students to be successful if we are not providing them with the tools to assist them in the education.
I am providing my students with classroom binders. I’d like my students to have binder dividers and sheet protectors to help keep them organized. I’d also like my students to have classroom essentials (markers, highlighters, and dry erase markers) to help them take notes or use for projects.
Providing my students with these materials will not only help with their class work, but it will also invite creativity as well.
