My students need these items to keep our class up and running! Ink and laminating sheets are some of the materials we use on a daily basis and always run out of!
My classroom is one of high expectations and mutual respect and my students exceed our expectations each and every day! They come into class with a hunger and curiosity for learning. Being a special day class in middle school, of course, poses its challenges but my students are resilient and have adapted at every turn!
Being a special day class where a lot of our services are dedicated to serving diverse learners (primarily autism with some speech impairments and other health impairments), we really adapt the curriculum to make learning relevant to our kids.
We want them to be functioning members of society and they have infinite potential.
My students are very proficient at computers, they love music and dancing and have recently done a lot of cooking-which they love. We try and make each day exciting for the students. Above all, we make sure to communicate to the students that they are loved and respected!
My Project
As with every classroom, we go through resources fairly quickly. My students are visual learners so color ink is something that is not provided by the school district but invaluable to our class! Also because independent work stations are daily occurrence in our class, laminating materials will really come in handy.
We are requesting the following items so our students continue to have an abundance in the classroom so we never miss out on learning!
Being a teacher in a public school, it is hard to always get the resources you need! This project will ensure we never have to sacrifice our student's learning!
