My students need pencils to write creative stories and complete required assignments, they need a working sharpener, and paper to be utilized on class projects.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A typical day in my classroom is filled with a lot of activity from beginning to end. I want to ensure that students have the proper tools needed to attain the best education they can.
My students are welcomed into the classroom daily with a warm smile.
This year, I want them to not only "grow their brains", but discover their own creative style. I teach 54 kind-hearted third students in Miami-Dade, Florida. We are a Title 1 school and all of my students are in the free lunch program. Last year, many of my students came to school without socks or backpacks. Though they do not have access to many material things, they appreciate every opportunity to learn and explore their world.
My Project
The students will utilize the materials requested as needed. Pencils will be put into bins in student reach for use. The paper will be used for the purpose of making student handouts and worksheets. The markers will be used to create classroom posters and student centers.
It will make a difference to the students because they will have the essentials needed to have a quality education.
Students do not have to feel embarrassed for not having materials, they will feel encouraged to use our class supplies.
