My students need basic classroom supplies such as scissors, pencil sharpeners, cardstock, and white-out to continue producing great work.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Reeves's classroom raised $237

My Students
Just the basics, please! Years of budget cuts have all but wiped out our classroom supplies. What a luxury it would be to have a pair of scissors for each student in the class!
I teach 3rd and 4th grade in a highly gifted magnet.
My students are identified as having an IQ of 145 or above, and have the potential to be tomorrow's leaders. One third of my students are English Language Learners, demonstrating their brilliance despite a language barrier. Because of their highly gifted identification, I make every effort to differentiate their curriculum to best suit their diverse needs. They are exceptional, but not just because of their intellect. They are truly a joy to know and I feel incredibly fortunate to be their teacher.
My Project
Having a supply of these essential materials will ensure that our program is uninterrupted and that our time is spent on learning. At the moment, my 23 students must share 5 pairs of scissors. Cutting has never taken so long! There is a definite need in my classroom to focus on our projects, not on the materials, and having these basic supplies like white-out, pencil sharpeners, and scissors will radically change our ability to accomplish our goals.
By donating to this project, you are confirming that budget cuts don't get the last say in our schools.
Scissors, pencil sharpeners and cardstock may not be glamorous materials, but please be certain they are essential to an effectively managed, productive classroom. We are so grateful for your support.
