My Students
I am a National Board certified teacher in Literacy. I work at a Title I elementary school. Many of my students come from military families due to our location near several bases. Our school is diverse with learning styles, cultures, and interests. My students are hardworking, creative, critical thinkers. My students are future artists, inventors, authors, and natural leaders. Success is at their fingertips and I know that with the right learning environment, I will nurture each and every one of them.
My Project
We are mid-year and our classroom supplies are running low. Our classroom can benefit from having a class pack of color pencils to document their learning. I have a classroom jar that was full in the beginning of the year for students to use whenever they needed it. It is now empty!
On a day to day basis I have students who come to class with no supplies at all.
I don’t want my students to feel without and them knowing they can get an eraser whenever they need it goes a long way.
So please help my students by supporting their needs of the basics including a pencil sharpener which will keep their pencils sharp and ready to use. Plus, the headphones will be the icing on the cake that will allow them to listen to educational videos without interrupting their peers.
