This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have been struggling with having essential classroom supplies for the past month. The kids are scraping by sharing pencils, erasers, scissors, colored pencils, and glue sticks for daily classroom learning. Because my students are from low-income households, it is challenging to ask parents to replenish what has been lost or used up.
My students are engaged, successful, and independent when they have the essential supplies to carry them through until the end of the year.
The products I selected are all used in daily educational activities, such as gluing sorts in word study lessons or daily math instruction. With your support, I will have supplies that normally I would have to personally replenish for my classroom. Thank you in advance!
