Help me give my students snacks for reinforcement, a visual timer for time management, tabletop pocket charts, sentence strips for writing practice, and storage organizers to support classroom learning and organization.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love the resilience and curiosity my students bring to the classroom each day. They are eager learners who thrive when provided with hands-on tools, structure, and encouragement. Many of my students face challenges such as learning disabilities, language barriers, and economic hardships, but they never fail to amaze me with their determination to succeed.
The items I am requesting will directly impact my students' learning by addressing their diverse needs and enhancing their classroom experience.
Snacks, such as fig bars and fruit snacks, will serve as positive reinforcements during challenging tasks, motivating students while ensuring they have the energy to stay focused and engaged. A visual timer will help students manage their time effectively, fostering independence and keeping them on task during lessons and transitions. Tabletop pocket charts and sentence strips will support literacy activities by providing hands-on tools for building sentences, practicing sight words, and visually organizing ideas. Lastly, storage baskets will create a more organized and inviting learning environment, making materials easily accessible, promoting independence, and reducing distractions. Together, these resources will help my students thrive academically and socially.My goal for this project is to create a classroom where students feel supported, motivated, and empowered to succeed. By meeting their basic needs and providing tools for engagement and organization, I can help ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
