This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students come to school to learn, build connections, and be happy. They are kind, safe, productive, and focused on their future. Your donation will ensure my students will have the basic supplies and equipment for the school year. When students in my classroom have an enriching learning environment, they are happy, more motivated to thrive, and they succeed academically.
Providing my students with basics like pencils for testing, balls for PE, batteries and LED lights for experiments in science, and protractors for math, gives them what they need daily to thrive.
These basic tools will benefit students in many ways. Pencils are needed daily for students to write and progress in all assignments and the pencil sharper is needed to keep them sharp daily. The protractors will be used in math to measure different types of angles. The batteries, small cups, and LED lights will be used for experimentation during our energy, energy transfer, and electricity unit. The paper will be used for our upcoming open house poster project along with the markers for tracing. Every student in our school enjoys and benefits from learning fundamental ball skills during daily PE and cooperative play at recess. Now that we’ve just passed the 100th day of school this year, we’re in need of some replacements of these classroom basics.
