My Project
Our students come to school to learn, build connections, and be happy. They are kind, safe, productive, and focused on their future. Your donation will ensure my students will have the basic supplies and equipment for the school year. When students in my classroom have an enriching learning environment, they are happy, more motivated to thrive, and they succeed academically.
Providing my students with basics like headphones for testing, balls for PE, batteries and flashlights for reading in the dark, and tickets for class rewards, gives them what they need daily to thrive.
These basic tools will benefit students in many ways. Headphones are needed daily for students to focus and progress in literacy and math learning programs on their computers, as well as annual testing. This is especially important for our many English Language Learners. Reading independently during daily Silent Sustained Reading (SSR) with mini flashlights fosters a love and interest in reading. Every student enjoys and benefits from learning fundamental ball skills during daily PE and cooperative play at recess. Paper tickets are an important part of our classroom culture and incentive for positive behavior, where students are rewarded with a ticket for being kind, safe, and productive. Weekly raffle prizes for tickets give students recognition and reward for excellence in class. Now that we’ve just passed the 100th day of school this year, we’re in need of some replacements of these classroom basics.
